Learning Objectives
- By the end of this course, participants will be able to define pectus carinatum (PC), including its prevalence, causes, and diagnostic criteria, and understand its impact on patients' physical and psychosocial health.
- Participants will be able to identify the psychosocial effects of pectus carinatum, with a focus on how cosmetic concerns affect self-esteem and quality of life for patients.
- Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to discuss various treatment options for pectus carinatum and tailor interventions to address both the physical deformity and the psychosocial needs of affected patients.
