Learning Objectives
- By the end of this course, participants will be able to explain the importance of standardized mobility assessments for patients with lower-limb amputation and describe the different types of outcome measures, including patient-reported and performance-based tools.
- Participants will be able to evaluate the role of mobility assessments in prosthetic care, particularly in optimizing patient outcomes and prosthetic function.
- Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to identify common barriers to the routine use of mobility assessments in clinical practice and propose strategies to overcome these obstacles to improve patient care.
Course Description
Clinical Resources for Assessing Mobility of People with Lower-Limb Amputation: Interviews with Rehabilitation Clinicians (JPO034-2A)
This course emphasizes the importance of standardized mobility assessments for patients with lower-limb amputation. It covers both patient-reported and performance-based outcome measures, their role in prosthetic care, and barriers to routine use in clinical practice.
