Learning Objectives
- By the end of this course, participants will be able to identify the factors contributing to contralateral limb pain (CLP) in individuals with upper-limb amputation, with a focus on prosthetic inefficiencies and compensatory movements.
- Participants will be able to describe the increased risk of CLP in veterans with upper-limb amputation and explain why CLP persists in this population.
- Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to apply strategies to mitigate contralateral limb pain in individuals with upper-limb amputation, particularly in veterans, by addressing prosthetic fit and movement patterns.

Contralateral Limb Pain Is Prevalent, Persistent, and Impacts Quality of Life of Veterans with Unilateral Upper-Limb Amputation (JPO035-1A)
This course examines the high risk of contralateral limb pain (CLP) in individuals with upper-limb amputation (ULA), especially in veterans. It explores factors contributing to CLP, including prosthetic inefficiencies, compensatory movements, and the persistence of CLP in veterans.
